Eric Pete is one of contemporary fiction’s most creative stars, with a prolific career spanning over a decade.
He was born in Seattle, WA. Having lived there as well as Louisiana and briefly in the Los Angeles area, he now resides in Texas. A constant traveler, you never know where he may turn up.
Eric served in the US Army and is a graduate of McNeese State University as well as a member of Delta Sigma Pi Professional Business Fraternity.
Having an intense love of reading from an early age, Eric was unknowingly laying the foundation for what was to come. Combined with a steady diet of late night movie classics, soap operas and comic books as a child, the framework was being set. Eric considered writing a novel for several years, but finally gave in to the movies in his head and took the first step on his journey to literary heights.
Eric’s first novel, Real for Me, was the featured selection of many book clubs across America, reaching #1 Bestseller status at various bookstores. He followed that up with the Dallas Morning News bestseller Someone’s In the Kitchen, cementing his status as a writer with which to be reckoned. He matched that with his third novel Gets No Love reaching Dallas Morning News bestseller status as well. His fourth novel Don’t Get It Twisted garnered critical acclaim attaining national bestseller status in Essence Magazine. Most recently, The Family Business, his first collaboration with Carl Weber, reached both New York Times and USA Today bestseller status.
In addition to numerous public, television and radio appearances, Eric has been featured in various publications, websites and at events such as:
